That is "religion sponsored"? If not, WHY?

I would give any thing I had to the homeless.There should be no such horrific thing in this rich country.

I would donate to any shelter whether or not religion sponsored. Everybody has a right to help in any way. I would give much more if I could.

I never have a spare $50. Its always useful to pay the internet bill so I can stay online and answer questions at Yahoo.
I NEVER give money to the homeless on the streets. I'm not giving them money so they can go buy smokes, joints or booze and then be back tomorrow asking for more.
I do however toss a few coins down for the good musicians I hear in the subway (those who have a license to play there).

Does a person really have money these days that's not needed? But I'll donations to a shelter...it's a good thing to do...giving.

No, not to something that is religion sponsored. Organized religion is wrong.
I donated to New Orleans when it got hit. It is still a crap hole because our government doesn't give a damn about it.

hehehe! i can't imagine having $50 in my pocket that i don't need but if ever i did have "extra" money i'd have no problem giving it to poor or ill folks.
as to whether i'd donate to a religious charity depends on how that institution spends donation money, what % actually goes to aid the poor or ill and what % goes into "administration costs".
of course, that's how i'd look at it whether it was a religious charity or a secular one.
