My bf is about 20 years younger then me but says it doesn't matter to him. I had concerns when I found out how young he was but he said it's not important. Should I stop worrying?

Well, right now I'm 20. My boyfriend is 18. I myself was 18 when we started dating. So 2 years below me is no big deal at all. Not to sound like a cradle robber or anything, but if me and my boy don't last past this year, and I find a mature 17 year old, I'd consider dating him (but sex would be a no-no of course ;D ). I would not go younger than that. But mature 17 year old boys don't exactly grow on trees. I think I just got lucky. :D As for older? Well, that's hard to say. If I found the right guy, I'd probably date a guy 7 or 8 years older...but I seriously doubt I'd have much in common with a guy that much older at this stage in my life. Never say never though, right? =P You didn't say how old you were. I think if you're at least 18 or 19, 3 years older isn't too bad. But if you're younger than 18, I wouldn't really suggest dating a guy older than 3 years. Good luck!

30- 45 years age difference would be max. I'd prefer someone older not younger lol. My husband is 16 years older, but I dated this one guy in college who was 65 when I was 20.

age is an attitude. So if you have stuff in common it is ok
I have dated 20 years of young and older than myself and both were good while they lasted. and some lasted a long time

What are you worried about? Is he still a minor??? If he is you could wind up in jail--despite whether he thinks it's OK or not. What do you 2 talk about??? What does he do when you are around your older friends---do you have older friends--if not I think your issue is not wanting to grow up---sticking around kids means you can act like one. You need to rethink this and admit it is silly to say the least.

Well, I wouldn't be comfortable with more than 5 or 6 years difference, but I'm pretty young (19) so it matters more to me.

it depends how people act, no matter what there ages are...he seemed ok before you found out, but if he makes you feel uncomfrotable be fair to him, otherwise just enjoy, sometimes age differences can offer a differnt look at a situation, i know it has for me in the past

I dated a man 16 years older than me, and really, if he's over 18, preferably 21, don't worry.
If you really like/love him, go for it.
20 would be about the max though...lol
Good luck!

depends how old you are, in high school I would be disgusted in anything more then three year for the simple fact that and older and bigger person might take advantage of/ corrupt you. But out of high school or college anything under ten years.

You can't help who you fall in love with :) Well as long as your not 34 and his 14! As long as your both over 18- go for it! Even if it's just for some fun for awhile. Good luck
