Shampoo is when your hair needs to be washed and canbe used.

Conditioner is when you use shampoo and then the conditioner it keeps your hair easy to brush.

dont use too much conditioner because it is not good for the hair and will keep loosing hair as much as you use shampoo.

For a healthier straight and easy to brush hair use Hair OIL or olive oil, it will keep your hair, striaght, and shighny and not dry if you dye your hair.

but dont use it on daily basis, once a week is perfect.

shampoo cleanses your hair--it gets the dirt/grease out of it, leaving you with a clean outcome that is dry or brittle. The conditioner serves to nourish it, making it more moisturized, manageable and silky. it doesnt clean your hair. The shampoo can be quite severe on your hair and can make it dry and damaged, especially after you've been for a swim or have had chemical treatments to it. The conditioner just makes it tangle free, soft and silky.

Shampoos are designed to clean the dirt, oil, product build up, and "cones" that build up in your hair. (They are ingredients that seal the hair shaft and make it shiny but if they build up your hair gets brittle and will break)

Conditioner is designed to replenish the moisture in your hair. If your hair is dry, frizzy, breaking, ect you need a conditioner/deep conditioner. If your hair is not then only condition ever couple of days. You don't put the conditioner on your scalp. you put from about your ears down concentrating on the ends.

I read in a magazine once that shampoo is mostly for the roots of your hair and conditioner is for the length of your hair and the ends, that's why if you use a lot of conditioner on your roots it gets really greasy.

Ok, the difference is shampoo actually cleanses your hair of dirt and bacteria. (Yes, we have bacteria in our hair!) Conditioners treats, coats, conditions hair to restore moisture and repair damage to your hair. Usually, the same brand shampoo and conditioner works best together.

Shampoo cleans the hair, and takes residue, styling products, etc. out of it.

Conditioner adds a 'film' on the hair to make it soft and smoothe.

Shampoo is to clean your hair. Conditioner is to make your hair softer.

It's as simple as that.

Shampoo actually cleans your hair while conditioner just makes it softer and can help to de-tangle.

I think shampoo cleans your hair and conditioner helps detangle it and make it soft. Im not quite sure though.
