My 1 year old will eat them but the smell of them grosses me out, especially if they contain tomato sauce. 2-year-olds are much pickier than 1-year-olds, though.
What about the Dole fruit cups? My child likes the peaches. She also likes yogurt and sliced cheese or string cheese.
You could get a couple of the trays and try them but get some back up stuff also.

I usually feed him what ever I'm eating for lunch. That can include leftovers from dinner last night, sandwiches, chicken tenders, cheese, fruit (he loves fruit), veggies (he doesn't love them so much), ravioli, chicken soup, the list could go on and on. Breakfast is usually cereal or oatmeal with milk and juice (or a piece of fruit). Sometimes if I'm rushed he gets Pop-Tarts (I know they're horrible, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do). On the weekends we have pancakes or French Toast. Dinner is what ever we're having once again. For snacks he often has Teddy Grahms, cheese sticks, a banana, yogurt covered raisins, grapes, sunflower seeds (no shell), grapes, blueberries, etc. I try to give him mostly healthy stuff, but I'm not against cake or ice cream every once in a while. He loves those Popsicles that come in a plastic sleeve when it's hot outside.

I've never tried those toddler meals, always thought they were way too expensive, and as odd as it sounds, kinda more of a hassle. Why prepare one meal for the baby and another for the rest of the family. You should just try fending your toddler the same foods the rest of your family is having. I think this opens their taste buds to various flavors and textures, and makes children less picky of eaters. And my daughter is almost the same age and it seems that whatever i have she wants it too, no matter what, so that helps. Canned or fresh veggies and fruit, crackers, diced chicken breast, hard boiled eggs, just to name a few, would be easy and enjoyable to take on the road with you. And if all else fails, i stop and get a lunchable, nothing is easier, and kids love them.

Yes, the Gerber tray packs are good for your two year old. And try some simple snacks. At that age they rather snack then eat a lot.

I wouldn't buy them. For what you get, they are way to expensive. Make up some noodles with some sauce, some vegetables, crackers with jelly, baked chicken breast, etc to take with you. While it may take more time you will know that your child will like it and it'll be a lot cheaper. If you get crackers and jelly or other spreads you can make that while on the road. Lunchables, sandwiches, fruit bars, tuna etc are all great alternatives and adults can eat the food too.

My son has always hated Gerber's toddler food. It might be easier to just share your meals with him. The freeze dried fruit and fruit puffs are good choices, though.

i have a 2 1/2 year old and he hates stuff like that. always has. i know they are a little messy, but crackers make a good snack. my son also loves dried fruit. but be careful with those b/c some of them have lots of extra sugar. he also likes some dry cereal like "post blueberry morning" and of course the sugary ones, but i try to limit those. and honey nut cheerios are good and not too messy.

I wouldn't know whether toddlers like canned/jarred foods or not since I never fed such stuff to my daughter. I had a blender and what I ate she ate. If I had spaghetti I would chop it up enough for her to be able to eat it as well. She had all sorts of veggies and fruits all fresh and no preservatives.

Yes, I believe so. Some other good snacks would be some fruit and veggies and maybe some animal crackers or something.
