I'm having a hard time coping with life right now. Things just seem to go from bad to worse, and it's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could be confident about the future again, like I was as a child. I feel jaded, numb to life. I feel emotionally drained and worn out. I was late to work again, I haven't heard anything about my truck from the mechanics who took it in TWO WEEKS AGO, I'll call them Monday but I don't know what they'll say. I have debts and other things that plague me constantly. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Sorry ur going thru some difficult times right now. As for ur truck...maybe u haven't heard anything yet because we had Xmas & NY's during these past 2 wks. Might not be bad news & just matter of bad time of yr. Hope so anyway. As for debts & other things that plague you constantly well you know ur really no different than anyone else...most of us anyway. lol But it is time to take a break from it all. When it's overwhelming it's definitely time to take a break! A holiday is great but 1 day a week that u do not think about your debts & any other concerns you have is even better. Take a walk, visit a friend (s), family, whatever. Do some volunteer work or become a big brother. Guaranteed other ppls troubles have a way of making ur troubles seem less troublesome. Anyway make this 1 day your day off from your life & see what happens.

Here is the list of things that get me though anything!
1-God, He made me, so I know He has a sense of humor, and hope.
2- I am the eternal optimist! Let me assure you this WILL get better. You may not see it now, but things will change for the better. Just keep your faith that things will change for the better.
3- You cannot afford a negative thought. Yes this goes back to #2 but let me tell you, your mind set is everything during adversity. You are not prepared to fail, but to rise up against adversity, and WIN! (This means never ever giving up, just because you are worn down, get your tail back in there and fight those whom wear you down.
3- Never loose your focus on your loved ones during adversity, for your family is your rock, and source of comfort during troubled times.
4- Did I mention that God has a sense of humor? Well so should you. Humor can get you through some pretty dark times, so use it, if you've got it.
5-Develop a tactical mind set. Prioritize your debts, or needs, figure what is the most important issue, then attend to it first, like Triage in the battlefield. If you need to take a second job to pay down a debt, suck it up, and do it! You are not the first person that hard times have hit, nor will you be the last. I've heard that adversity builds character, and if this is the case, I am one tough mutha, and so can you.
6- I know about loans, and if you need one go through a credit union, or bank to make your ends meet, then do so, at the best rate avaible to you.
7- Know that you are not alone, millions of others just like you have similar problems, and struggle to cope. I'm pulling for you. Yea, I know it sounds crazy, but I'm hoping that at least a few suggestions, will stick with you, for they will help you in days to come.
Best Regards! Battlerattle06

I go out of my way to do things that are sure to make me happy. I buy small things to keep me occupied. I read books to take me out of my daily life even just for a while. If you don't have time to read...get a book on cd from the library. I have pets...that helps ALOT!! And I'm also on anti depression meds which of course really helps!! Do even small things to cheer yourself up...maybe there's something you've always wanted to do and never did. Or something you always wanted to buy. Nothing is to silly....I bought a coloring book and crayons 3 weeks ago...it's great!!

I read the Psalms in Life's Instruction Book (the Bible). King David was down in the dumps quite a lot in his life and yet God lifted him up from his depression when he was down. David had worse troubles in his life than I'll ever have, so it is comforting to read because I know God is with me, even though things don't get better overnight. Somehow, going through the tough times in life makes us stronger and in turn, we can encourage others later on.

Take one day at a time. May God grant you wisdom in handling your debts, and may He comfort you during your stressed out times.

my faith in God is what helps me get thru rough times. also knowing that things will eventually get better. i had cancer and it was incredible how other people would be thankful that they just weren't as bad as someone else- even though they might not have long to live. if you can see how bad some people have it --it makes it a little easier to be thankful that you aren't as bad. take care--maybe people that read this will pray for you--i will.

Hang in there man, its crap when ur depressed like that, just remember your not the only one and theres always someone worse, I know thats not much help but its true. I go for walks and think about stuff like that all the time my life seems similar to yours so I feel for you, I take the odd valium to help with anxiety but you need to be careful with that stuff. Just think "Who Cares about that Crap" be happy, we could be gone tomorrow so dont let bills get ya down, go for a long walk and look at the trees and animals and think happy thoughts, not really good advice hey? sorry man but lifes to short to worry, go out and enjoy it, stuff em!!! There are always people to go to for help if you seek them out, and always people around to chat to like me, so feel free man. I know how you feel trust me, I have had so much crap happen to me I reckon its taken at least twenty years off my life. Peace, Pete.

Let's see if this will help...1st of all, at least you have a job (something you can be grateful for), at least you have a vehicle (even if broken down, probably repairable and payable), Call them? At least you have a telephone..already I see "light". Be grateful in attitude and things will change, try it, what do you have to lose..?
