Jesus is very alive right now. We are the ones suffering from mental problems. One in specific we all suffer from as a collective is called the "human ego".

People with a (untreated) serious mental problem are not able to function well enough to teach and to heal in the ways that Jesus did. So no, I would not think that He had a mental problem. And as a professional therapist who could give a proper diagnosis if He were, I do know the difference.

God always sent his messengers in the context of the existing social, moral, political, linguistic (etc) environments of the time. So, if Jesus was to come as a messenger for current times (alive now), Allah knows how he would have prepared him for the current time. His message of guidance would have been needed for the current time and tailored accordingly. Those who believe in relative morality these days, who benefit from wars and war profits, would have accused him of mental problems but those who believe in the message would have agreed with him.

This is a good question. I am Christian but I would have to admit that I would think he had hit his head too hard. Of course, where I live is the home of the Son of Sam killer who claimed
God told him to kill all those people.

I often wonder if I had been alive back when Jesus was on earth would I have been one of his followers or would I have been one of the crowed calling for his death? I'd like to say I would have been one of his followers but I really don't know.

But I'm saved by grace through the shedding of His precious blood and for that I am grateful.

while i think i know your question is . i can really only say that i would be sure that if i met a man walking about saying he was Christ i would say he was in need of help.
i know this because the bible clearly tells us that when Christ returns he will be seen from east to west and come as a bolt of lighting with angels and the company of heaven with him .
now if after all that Jesus walks up and says i am Jesus i would know he was.
after i submitted this i read the other answers well i hope they come back and read this because i know from reading the bible that the false Messiah and there will be many but at least one will raise people from the dead . people who all of the world have seen dead and know they are dead and dont question that they are dead. and after 3 days this false messiah will raise them from the dead yes. he will heal people lots of people he will go about the earth and preform all manner of wonders raising the dead healing the sick walking on water flying in the air all manner of things but dont fall for it . no sir you will know with out a trillionst of a seconds doudt that the real lord has come when he appears

that all doesn't mean a huge number of people will not fall for people who falsely claim to be Christ. some will preform miracles
and lots of people will say yip that's the guy right there.
sorry folks but when he comes he comes so all of us know who he is and where he is from all at once. no question no wonder . just plain know.

I am ashamed to say that I would think the man is suffering mentally UNLESS his aura glowed or he walked on the water or something like Jesus was reported doing

Think about biblical times. Jesus was condemned because ppl went along with the powerful pharisees in that they thought that Jesus should die. Sure, not all of the ppl agreed with the pharisees but their voices were not enough.

But didn't you know? Jesus rose from the dead so He is still alive

Jesus is alive right now seated at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven on his throne.

Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

He is the one in charge of my life which he has given to me. I praise his holy name!

"Because I live, you shall live also." - Jesus

Great question! You would have a lot more skeptics in this day and age. Technology and the prevalence of mental issues would make it harder to convince the masses.

If it was REALLY Jesus and I was a TRUE christian I believe/hope/think that something inside of me, my gut instinct, or the Holy Spirit would tell me that this guy isnt crazy and he is our savior. But that is a true test of christianity, people think and say they are christians but in the end who knows if what they do and what we do is good enough for us to be called christian/children of God.
