An FTP server is a possibility. However, most of them are not load and go, and require some configuration, which can be a nightmare depending on which ftpd you choose, and how familiar you are with setting things like that up.

An instant messaging program is probably an easy solution for you. Just IM yourself and send the files.

I use a free program called foldershare to transfer files around. It keeps files synchronized on any number of your computers.

You don't have a floppy drive or USB port? You could pick up a flashdrive. They are practically giving away 128mb. I got a 1G for $20 last week. Watch for ads in the Sunday paper.

Copy the file to a disk or cd for repeated use.
Also you could email it as an attachment to yourself, and open it on the other computer.
Network has nothing to do with copying a file.
