What are the basic levels of administration on the Army? Squad, platoon, company, etc. And how many troops at each level? While we're at it, has that relationship changed since 1969-1971 when I was in the Army?

I hope I can remember this. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

As I can recall, you're chain of command is,
Squad Leader
Platoon Sgt.
Master Sgt.
First Sgt.
Company Co-Commander
Company Commander
Regiment Commander
Brigade Commander
Army Commander
Supreme Army Commander
Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff
President when Congress declares War.

It differs between armies;

In order of size.

company
battalion
regiment
brigade
division
corp
army
army group

THE NEXT BITS PRETTY FLEXABLE(3 could mean 2 or it could mean 4)
company=between 120 and 200 men
Battalion=3 companies
regiment=3 battalions
brigade=3 regiments
division=3 brigades
corp=3 divisions
army=2 corps
Army group=whatever amount armies was deemed necessary clumped together to do the job

Also there would be fighter and bomber groups attatched.
