the term fornication in the NT refer to the use of temple prostitutes which was also practicing idolitry. That liciense is just a piece of paper the Gov. gives you. God understands sex with commitment that one of the partakers understands as commitment. Think about people are not always under a Gov. Do you think these can not get married. Used tyo be what is called common law for thoise out in the sticks so my original answer I gave you is correct. I agree some are idiots. There is that scripture Romans 13 which states one should obey the law of the land however today in this country this law is not enforced and so you can decide if it applys to you and sex without marriage is against old law in some staes so you might want to consider that so you two know the truth now it is time to decide.

Call me whatever you like but here is some wisdom for you. Ask yourself, would I buy a car without test driving it first? It's the same with marriage and sex. I have been married for quite a while but still remember back before. Remember this. Sex is a very important part of being married, if the two of you are not gong to be compatible its better to find out before rather than later.

the bible says it's a sin but how many of us are free from sin?? everyone sins whether you want to or not. that's just human nature. God knows that. as for the sex before marriage, that is a choice you will have to make and live with. and also a choice that you will judged for when it's your time. and everyone has plenty of judging coming up.

One reason is just because you are supposed to be married, doesn't mean you are going to be married. Relationshpis break off last minute frequently.
But bottom line is definately, the Bible says its wrong so it's wrong.
I waited until I was married, and I am so thankful I did. Waiting was incredibly hard, no doubt, but I did. Being able to say "You mean so much to me that I have waited because I wanted to give you something no one else has or will ever have" is a great feeling.

The harm is that it is God considers it a sin. Even a day before your wedding. Wait.
Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus. Christians are to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
God will bless your honoring Him in this, both of you will be thankful one day.
Or go ahead and do what eveybody else would do in the world today.

Don't let others set your moral standards for you. If you believe in the bible and it's teachings, aren't we just interpreting those words to suit our own lives. If it is a sin, and God forbides it, then why do we even have the choice?

Don't let a dead Book run your life, marriage vowels aren't even in the Book. When you have sex with some one, the act is marriage, as far as the Book is concerned anyways.

If you go by the letter of the law, so to speak, it's a sin. But compaired to say killing a lot of people, it's a very very small one.
