Why does Jesus say that he cannot bear witness of himself in: John 5:31
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

But then in John 8 he says different

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me

In John 5:31, he means that people will not BELIEVE his own testimony. Because of people's foolish nature, they need yet another witness, more proof, less faith, to believe that Jesus is/was God.

Simple.

He bore witness to the fact that He was the Son of God. Just as you act like your father, so He acts like His , Father. If your a Christian you will bear witness that you have Christ in your life.If not you will bear witness that the devil is in your life.

That's because most New Testament books were actually written by people who never even met Jesus. Besides, the Bible was cobbled together more than 350 years after Jesus.

The Qur'an, on the other hand, is absolutely unaltered since it was revealed to prophet Muhammad. It has no inconsistencies like the Bible, because God himself promises in the Qur'an that he has taken the responsibility of protecting the book.

See www.islam-guide.com for scientific facts, which were recently discovered, but were revealed in the Qur'an more than 1400 years ago.

Under Jewish law ones's self-testimony was not admissible in legal proceedings. Two other witnesses, testified to Jesus' identity and mission. His works revealed His deity, and the Father testified to Jesus' identity.

The first statement is an example of its authenticity, if you are alone who or what could authenticate it.
The second statement corrects the first. If you and I were standing next to eachother you would be a witness to me thus confirming.
