Doesn't it just usually end up broken?

Well if you think that way then usually it does.
But you have to think of it in these terms:

Take the chance and let your heart get involved, and if something happens and your heart gets broken then you will know that it was worth while. If it doesnt get broken then you will know it was bettter anyways.

Yes, there is a point to letting your heart get involved. If you never got involved on an emotional level then how would you know whether or not it was worth it?

You see, in order to experience the good things in life you also have to have the bad things in life, too. There is no happiness without sadness and no bright without dark. If there were no bad things then how could we possibly appreciate the good things? In regards to relationships you may sometimes get hurt, but it makes the love all the better, doesn't it?

I don't know the circumstance under which you answer this question, but since it's in dating: some relationships will just end badly. Some will end VERY badly. However, this is okay. Eventually there will be the right person that will end bright and cheerful, or at least on a higher note than other relationships, and you'll feel wonderful for it.

Yes. If you don't you will miss out on alot of fun in life. You might or might not end up with a broken heart but if you don't try you will never know what could have been.

all the hearts breaks are worth it to find the your true love. give yourself some time and take awhile from the dating scene you'll eventually change your mind, i think you might just need a break. when you find the right guy all those other heart breaks wont even matter cause he'll make you glad you had them because he makes you feel like no words can explain.
