The rule of thumb is to allow 22" per person around the table (allowing for elbow room). The circumference of your 60" table is 188". That comes out to 8 people comfortably around your table (unless you have monster size chairs). well my table is 38 inches and we can get 5 comfortable so you could probably get 8-9
