Check her diet, nutrition and of course:
Too much sugar - and too much cola drinks (caffeine). Too many carbohydrates - which turns into sugar easily.
Perhaps she also needs exercise during the day that she's not getting. Then she's wound up at night.
Also, get her used to the same bedtime each and every night.
She needs to be calmed down, and perhaps reading to her every night will make her sleepy and relaxed. Make sure she's relaxed and in her bed before you read her stories.
I had a book "365 bunny stories" that my daughter loved.
GOD bless.

My 4 yr old never sleeps, he's been this way since he was 2. He averages 4-7 hours in a 24 hr period, when he should be getting 11-13 hrs. He is being assessed for attention deficit disorder, and he is being sent to a sleep clinic. I have already tried all the tricks. He doesn't get sugar, eats everything whole wheat. I have tried herbal remedies. Nothing works, even got a prescription for chloral hydrate, and it had the opposite effect, he climbed the walls for 24hrs. Tell your doc you want testing done, it doesn't hurt to check every avenue. Don't get angry with her, it only makes things worse. Oh and try having a 45min. down time before bed. like read a book or have her tell you stories from the pictures it seems to help wind them down some.
good luck!! I hope you find a way to get her to sleep!

Does your child drink coca cola? There is a lot of caffeine it which is bad for your child. I have a child and I try and keep her away from it. A nice soothing bath. Calm lights in your child's bath. Does your child play outside? A long walk round a park, maybe would make her tired.

You were a kid once too.....All kids are full of energy.
When my 3 were small, their father and I would 'rough house' with them, they became tired and slept really well all night.
Or, you could try some yoga. My daughter-in-law does this and now the 3 girls do this too and it really calms them down.

Because modern day society hasnt had time to grind her down/exhaust/depress/worry her yet.
Give it time and enjoy her that way while you can.
