I'm just boiling four; two are about 2x1.5x1 inches, and the other two are about 2x2.5x2 inches.

You're better off steaming them instead of boiling them (not watery that way), but you cook them until they're fork tender.

shoot for 15 minutes and then check them with the point of a sharp knife or a fork. If they stab easily, they are done If not, boil for a bit longer. This is one of those where the correct answer is till they are done which sounds snotty and rude but is the truth. They take longer to cook if your water is hard, or depending on the size or if they are new potatoes or just small. Your estimate of "small"may be different than mine.

Do NOT peel them, new spuds have great skins, and thats the nutritious part. Steam them. Or Microwave, on high, in a covered bowl with 1/2cup of water and a spoon of butter for 6 minutes. Check, maybe need another 2 minutes.

Time doesn't matter. Boil them until you can insert a fork all the way into the middle of them.

i don't time them, i use a fork, when the fork goes in they are done
