Nope he can't just get them back. He will have to go to court, however the court will take into account how long they've been with the adoptive family and what is best for the children, not what the BIOLOGICAL father wants. A REAL parent is not based on who supplies the sperm and gives birth to the child but who supports and raises that child with unconditional love. The man who wants to have them back is NOT their "REAL" dad, he is their biological dad and nothing more.

Was the father aware he had two daughters that were given up for adoption? Did he sign away his rights? If not, there might be a problem. But of course, usually a good adoption attorney, makes sure those issues are taken care of prior to the adoption being finalized.

If he did not sign to give them up then yes he can. In some states the biological parents have a year to change there mind. They need to contact there attorney or the adoption agency they are working with.

possibly, if the court finds him able to take care of his children well, if his record is clean, and definently if the adoptive parents will allow it.
