You need to eat the same amount of protein as how much you way...example i way 160 so i would need to eat 160 grams of protein a day to gain a pound. You should workout 4 days a week alternating exercises.( Set 1 monday, set2 tuesday, break wed, set1 thurs, set2 fri, break on the weekend, )

5 pounds of fat? A pound of fat is 3,500 calories, so 150 servings on the calories alone will do it.

If you want to gain muscle, you are not going to gain 5 pounds in one week. You have to place weight demands on your muscles that they have not previously experienced in order for them to grow. You dont' sound experienced enough to have this happen anytime soon. Read magazines, talk to guys in the gym that have already done it.

They say your supposed to take one gram of whey for every pound you weigh every day. It's best to drink it after a workout and yes, if you take it without working out it's worthless.
