You shouldn't pay them at all and should probably get child support. You should teach this to them as part of life and force them to or better have them help you or help them so they don't feel that you are putting them to slavery. By forcing these chores they will realize the importance of work and your family will become closer.

I am assuming you are asking about child support. I do believe it's usually about 22% of your income, but it really differs for state to state. I would check with a lawyer to find out for sure.

18% of net income. My ex makes that money & gives me $150 a week for the two kids. I think that is fair.
