i am 16, and very immature. girls hate me, and my guy friends love me! but in looking for a boyfriend, do guys appreciate a girl who loves fart jokes, and into constant shinanigans like fart machine pranks etc. ?

guys like girls that are fun, not easy(well they lke the easy ones for that one night), and who dont fit into the just another guy catagory. they gotta have atleast some girly qualities.
girls dont like girls who get more attention.

Hmm. I could be wrong, but intelligent women kinda tend to scare off a lot of guys. Independent ones even more so. Reason being, I figure is that most people need to be NEEDED. For whatever, be it a sense of security, safety, warmth, strength, or intelligence. Guys see themselves as providers, warriors, problem solvers, protectors of family and honor (Honor is a BIG issue for a lot of guys-it's hardwired in that way). Most guys want to be the "knight in shining armor." (at least most of the ones from my generation did, anyway.). If even for one night. To those kinds of guys-a totally independant, intelligent woman who needs no one-an island, as it were is most likely regarded by a guy as....well.....just like another guy. Meanwhile the trashy ones play dumb, or they really ARE dumb and somewhat helpless and seem to really want that guy to provide all those things I mentioned above (which in a sense VALIDATES the whole guy's existence...Gives him a reason to be who he is and do what he does.). Take away a man's mission and what the heck has he got left? Oh, yeah, and the sex. Guys-and I don't care what kinda guys-are DRIVEN by sex. It's how the species survives. If she's easy-that just seals the deal for most. It's more'n likely not impossible for a smart, self-sufficient girl to find a similar man, but you know the old saying-opposites attract. It ain't gonna be easy.

Homogenity - people are attracted to people like themselves (homogeneous cultures, close are range, similar education, similar values). People of the same maturity will go together. If she's more mature than you, she will probably notice that and not really appreciate that about you.

A girl that's cool to hang out with is just that. It's nice to have a GF that will hang out with your friends with ya, but not if they're one of them. Get it. Girlie girls suck but so do tomboys. Anyways, be yourself and find someone that likes you for who you are!
