My Doctor asked if I have other joint problems but at the time I wasn't thinking of anything else and said know but then it later on hit me that my hips not very often but sometimes almost feel as if they are grinding....Idk what do you all think? Oh I don't know if this will help but sometimes my fingers go numb when I use them to much which may have given my doctor the reason to think it was carpal tunnel...PLease help I am only 17 I would love to see your opinions

Funny you should mention this.I am 52 and experiencing some or most of the things that you are mostly in my right hand and wrist.. I am right handed and use this hand alot but find when im lying in bed using the computer that it bothers me the most or just lying propped up.Its funny usually unless im lying down it really doesnt happen to me maybe its pressure on a vertebra or something, but i do notice the same hand and wrist feeling stiff and weird in the cold outside even for just a few minutes and my thumb goes completely numb with just a very little exposure to cold.i would have to say arthritus because I have a nurse friend that I told her that I might have carpal tunnel..and she said it sounded like arthritus. So its possible it could be.. Hopefully not in your case..But don't let anyone kid you my mother developed arthritus at 13 and as the years progressed it almost became disabling but some it affects more than others.. But my bet would be minor arthritus but im no doctor just guessing here..

Gosh, 17 is awfully young for carpal tunnel syndrome, or arthritis either one.
I have had carpal tunnel and I have arthritis. Carpal tunnel syndrome is when your hands and fingers go number or go to sleep when you have been holding the steering wheel a long time, things of that nature.
Rheumatoid arthritis is about the only kind that strikes young people and I sure hope you don't have that!
Could you be putting on a last growing spurt?

It may be that you don't have carpel tunnel, and especially because you are young. Since other parts of your body is hurting too, that tends to indicate arthritis. Both are treatable, so don't be terribly afraid. Carpel tunnel is not a serious surgery, but it isn't likely that you will need it. It is good that you are getting another opinion, but surgeons like to make money. I would consult a rhumatologist before any surgery. He will able to diagnose rhumatoid arthritis that sometimes affect young people.

The doctor that said Carpel Tunnel has a balloon morgage payment due, or wants a BMW. The others don't have a big payment due, but may sooner or later.
Better get more opinions.

Please get to a dr. to be tested for arthritis or a connective tissue disorder. I have what is called Mixed Conntective Tissue Disorder that has rheumtoid arthritis involved. Mine started out with shoulders and wrists then elbows. If you do test positive look into the Roadback.org that has information on treatment.

Seek help from an orthopedic doctor who specializes in joint diseases.

Sounds like bones rubbing against other bones--not sure what the medical term would be.
