I think it's a good idea for ground beans. I don't think it matters for whole beans.

On the food network shows they say to store coffee (ground) in a dry, dark place--didn't have to be in the fridge, as long as its in a dry place. don't think it matters with the beans.

They say that.. If I am using them in a relatively short (1 week or so) amount of time, I keep them air tight at room temp. Because the natural oils do not solidify, the room temp coffee seems to be better than the refrigerated

i was told not to put your beans in the fridge or freezer but just to keep them in an air tight container. it has something to do with the oils in the beans.

Yep it actually does help keep it fresh and helps it taste better for longer. I have heard that putting it in the freezer does the same thing.

You should keep both of them in the freezer until you use them. It keeps them fresher than either the fridge or out completely.

I actually keep mine in the freezer and yes it stays fresh. I use ground.

We keep them in the freezer. Then take out a bag at a time stored in an airtight container as we use them.

Put them in the freezer. The grinds. You can keep the beans in your sweaty sock drawer as long as you grind them and use them right away.

they say yes but when you go to starbuck they have all the coffee out on the shelves
