I have long, blonde hair. It is not curly, but very poofy and frizzy. I live in South Florida where it is VERY humid, so my hair has twice the frizz. I have tried just about every frizz reducing and poof reducing shampoo and conditioner known to man. None of them work on my hair. My hair is very thick and takes about 2 hrs to blowdry, and I just don't have the kind of time or patience required to do that every day. Even when I do blow dry and straighten it, it turns out poofier than it was before. I have spent the last 10 years of my life wearing a pony tail, and I am VERY ready for a change.

First try John Frieda Frizz-Ease products. Use all of them- the shampoo, the conditioner, the frizz syrum, the "wind down", the leave in conditioner-and so on. Then when you blow your hair dry, do it in sections-you should start at the back and work your way forward. Don't forget to mist your hair with some kind of heat protectant spray. Finally, you need a really good flat iron. I have a Sedu, but brands like CHI and HAI are good as well. Iron your hair in sections just like you blowed it dry and it should be pretty straight when your done! Good luck!!!

if you want i'd try john frieda's frizz ease hair serum in a heavier strength to keep your hair from being frizzy, i used to have long hair and when i cut it to a shorter length the frizz was more managable with the hair serum. If you like the length, then you could try layering it to make it more managable.

or the home remedy that i've used and has proved effective for frizz but you have to use a small amount because it smells is Olive oil.
Totally crazy and smelly, but it works for a really bad hair situation.
best wishes.

i have also pretty thick hair too. i understand your self-conciousness and i too used to wear my hair in a ponytail too. i would always always always try and find new cute ways to have my hair up. my mom finally said i needed a change and all my friends agreed. i discovered how beautiful my hair was when i went to a friends house and used a hair straightener called chi. i see that your hair is much thicker, frizzier and poofier. i recommend a hair straightener called the maxiglide by maxius. i have seen an instructional video for it online and it worked INSTANTLY on a woman with literally an aphrao. if you dont want to buy it then go to a recommended and highly rated salon and just ask them what you could do with your hair.

good luck.

Garnier Fructis (I hope I spelled that right!) Conditioner and Shampoo also use anti-frizz serum from them too. Keep in mind it does not totally fix your problem but helps ALOT. Also consider getting your hair permenatly straightened while it is v. v. bad for your hair you seem a little fed-up so its a risk you will have to take...
Good Luck!

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. Much better than the Frieda products. You can get Silk Drops at any Walgreens, CVS, etc.

How's about a haircut, usually your hair is drier towards the ends making it more frizzy. Their are some very nice shorter hair styles out there. Go visit your local beauty parlor.

My hair and area are the exact same-Neutregena has a cream for that which you can put on dry or damp hair. Also, slightly layering and loads of conditioner are a godsend
