Has anyone ever lived in base housing on Whidbey Island in Washington? Was it nice?

I don't know about their base housing, but Whidbey is beautiful and close to a lot of beautiful country. I know because I live a ferry boat ride away. Check out Deception Pass when you get settled. Take a day trip to Sequim, the lavender capital. I hope it is a happy time for you. There is a lot of rain sometimes, but that is why it is so green.
