Try the slimfast diet. I did that diet and lost quite a bit of weight and believe it or not, the shakes aren't that bad. It's good that you are exercising as that is one of the most important things you can do to lose weight.
I also went to the sauna and sweated out alot of water weight everyday. Also stay away from all soda's even the diet ones. I recently took a nutrition class and found out that soda's even diet ones are not that great for you.
OF course moderation is the biggest key to keeping physically fit. It's ok to eat at McDonalds and Subway, but stay away from the fatty foods. If you only eat salad's get the low fat dressing or oil and vinegar dressing.
If you follow the slimfast diet and exercise, you will probably lose about 12-15 pounds in 6 weeks. Doctors recommend that you lose between 1-2 pounds per week, but a sensible diet and exercise is the key to doing it. Don't just eat salad or you will hate it for a long time.
Try SLIMFAST.

worst thing to do is just go off salad and water- you will quickly become malnurished. The best way to raise your matabolism is: Try eating 5 small meals a day. ALWAYS eat breakfreast, then have like a snack between breakfeast and lunch. Keep your serving sizes smaller than what you are used to cause the snacks in the middle are keeping your matabolism up. Then have a snack before dinner and again smaller size meal for dinner than normal.

What people need to realize is that the largest meal is usually lunch because that is when you body craves the most food- keep protin and carbs in your diet just smaller portions than you would normally have. Then HIGHLY recconmend drink 8 glasses of 8oz water, or any Zero callorie drinks. Try keeping and soda out of the diet for sometimes becaue of the sodium in it you hold onto more water weight than you would think.

not very long, but then you may be extremely undernourished! (depending on what's in your salads) Also, are you sure that's a healthy weight for your height and frame size? I'm 5'2 with a small frame, and 115lb is a good weight for me. (See links below for height/weight info) Eating a salad as a first course is a good idea though; it helps fill you up so you eat less of the rest of the meal. DON'T skip (healthy) carbs and proteins, and your body needs some fat to absorb certain vitamins!

Also don't focus just on weight! Muscle weighs more than fat, so you can slim down and not actually change weight. Add some weight training to your running around: push-ups, bicep curls, etc (you can use canned food for weights); this will help you burn fat as well as strengthen your bones.

From what I can see from height/weight information, you're actually at a good weight.

Perfect! Your BMI is about 20. That's really good Since Healthy is usually between 18 and 25. The most important thing is that you eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and that you work out your heart and lungs for about 30 mins 4-6 times a day!

Why are you trying to kill yourself? Are you insane? At 5'6", you shouldn't weigh less than 125 (that is a minimum!!!!) You don't need to lose weight. If you want to tone up, that is great, but you are going to have to eat more! You should be eating a MINIMUM of 1200 calories from a variety of nutritious sources...not just salad! You are putting your body into starvation mode and beginning an eating disorder.

Eat well and maybe do some toning exercises in addition to your cardio work just to tighten and tone the body. You probably don't have much "fat" to actually lose. You will end up doing damage going to extreme.

Skip the salad dressing or use low-cal, throw a few hard-boiled eggs or boiled chicken pieces on the salad for protein, and you should be able to lose 15 pounds in your time frame. One slip-up could blow it for you, though.

It'll be hard to keep it off, though, since 115 pounds at your height is definitely underweight. You'll basically have to keep starving yourself by undereating in order to maintain the weight loss.

It depends on the type of calories being taken in. Even if its salad, you will have to estimate the calories vs the exorcise and then as long as your intake is less than what you are currently at and you are burning the energy, then 2 pounds a week--give or take.

Eating salad only is not healthy, you need variety of things to stay healthy. Not to mention once you lose the weight as soon as you start eating normally again you will gain it back and then some.

Why do you want to weigh 115 ? That is underweight, do you even realize that? Same goes for those who are encouraging her! Good way to be on your way to anorexia. Yeah maybe an exaggeration, but eating only salad is the way to not eat healthy at all!

Just eat green salads, tuna salads, taco salads, any salads for a few weeks. And yes, only drink WATER and occasionally OJ, but that's all! For more foods, do NOT eat any fries, junk food, fatty foods, etc. Just eat fruit, veggies, and salads. Workout like three times a week. You'll lose it in no time.

I'm 5'4" and weigh 110. So yeah, 5'6" and 115 would be good for you.
