Tax due date is 1/16/07, you e-file right on 11:59 pm on 1/16/07 on sites like www.taxact.com, does that meet tax due date?

I think when you e-file, it's a lot faster than mailing your tax files.

Can you also do auto-debit on taxact.com?

E-file is DEFINITELY FASTER I've been using TaxAct.com since 1999.

I have only used TaxAct for Direct Deposit of my refunds, but I see on this page that they do Direct Withdrawal. "You can authorize an electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) from your checking or savings account. Once you've prepared your return, simply enter your bank's routing number and your checking or savings account number and schedule an automatic withdrawal for a future date up to April 17, 2007."

Since they specify that you can make payments as late as 4/17/07, I am confident that you can e-file up to midnight of the day your taxes are due -- of course the above says that you can set it for a future date, so to avoid a slower service due to crowded servers, i'd do it in advance and the the date of payment for the actual due date.

The tax due date this year is 4/16/07 (as April 15th is on a Sunday). You can e-file your return up until the deadline.

On the IRS site for electronic funds transfer payments, information must be entered before the actual date of payment. Payments due on the 16th would need to be entered by Friday 1/12 @ 8pm, since Monday is a holiday.

E file is faster.

Are you referring to your business returns?
Most are due according to whatever agreements you have with the IRS.
www.irs.gov
for all forms & instructions.

Personal tax returns are due 4/15/2007 for 2006 income, unless you file an extension (www.irs.gov) for forms.

GOD bless.
