my microwave button always burned the popcorn. I usually put two minutes and listen fo when the popping starts to slow and then take it out. sometimes there are more kernals left at the bottom but I prefer that to burnt corn!

Microwave volts vary from one microwave(machine) to another. For example 3:30(3 mins, 30 secs) is enough for
popcorn in my microwave. The "popcorn" button usually
sets the microwave to 1 minute, which most likely isn't
enough time. But, like I said it varies. So try 3 minutes,
and press stop, or open the microwave when the bag
fills up and you hear 2 seconds(approximately) between
pops.

the popcorn button usually either overcooks or undercooks your popacorn lol. but iuse it cause with my microwave if u push thr popacorn button itll also ask u for the ounces of the bag you are cooking such as 1.75 oz. 3 oz. or 3.5-3.57 oz this wioll ensure proper cook time. for a more buttery flavor cook less throughly for a less buttery flavorly more fully i like butter best answer?

I don't know. Probably a difference in timing. I've never used that button. I just follow the directions on the bag.
