Several private companies offer free electronic filing for taxpayers who qualify. As long as your (and your spouse's if filing a joint return) adjusted gross income is $52,000 or less then you will be able to find at least one company that will allow you to electronically file your federal return for free online. See the link below. Program starts Tuesday January 16th.
