It's copyright infringment if it's copyrighted music.

Also, Limewire Pro would not make it any more legal. Take a look at this for example:

"Legally," you are not "allowed" to download any music that is copyrighted unless the legal owner of that music has given the right to download it.

Technically, DOWNloading music is borderline illegal. The issue is not usually one in which downloading is brought into question, but rather the distribution (UPloading, or sharing) of the music.

Loopholes to this include 'bootleg' music, and possibly unauthorized 'remixed' versions (though that too is debateable).

If in doubt, or if you dont want to take the risk, use a service like Wal-Mart or iTunes or something... Otherwise, use Limewire and assume the 'music police' wont be knocking on your door... :-)

yes it is illegal to download music from limewire unless you pay for it. if you arent paying, you are pirating. pirating is illegal.

yep and its also full of viruses unless you have bought limewire pro

If its a new song than yes its illegal but if its a song from 30 years ago that you heard than its probobly not copyright anymore so than its not illegal
