She is now 9 months old.. I take her to her vet on a regular basis.. He said he called it pied eyed or something like that.. He said there actually is something like a small bb possible in the socket.. but the eye never opens and he did not want to force it open. Told me that if it should open or look infected that we may have to sew it shut.. He didnt know what to tell me on the fact of her going in a circle.. Said some dogs will turn that way but not continously like she does.. I have had lots of experience with blind dogs but this is totally different..I would just love to be able to take her for regular walks but this is really hard to do since I cant walk her on a leash.

Oh, poor puppy! Sounds like a birth defect, not a situation. Her depth perception is off, and walks where she can see, which is to the right. Take her to a Vet. Ask him for references to dog trainers that can assist you with teaching BOTH of you to live with a disability.

I"m sorry about your puppy. You don't mention how old the Jack Russell is, but eventually she will adjust and probably be normal. Dogs rely more on scent than vision.
Walking in circles could be anything, from confusion about her vision and going where she can see best to.... other disabilities that are manifested in ways that one eye is the most obvious. Have your puppy evaluated by a veternarian.

I didn't find any information specifically pertaining to puppies born with only one eye, but I did find a very good website that suggests training methods for blind or vision-impaired dogs.

You ma be able to apply some of its information to your situation.
