I'm 5'7, 118 pounds and I'm 14. Statisticly, I sound thin but I really don't look thin. I'm bigger than all my friends. Currently I don't exersize at all so I'm thinking that maybe the reason I look bigger but weigh less is because I don't have a lot of tone muscle. I'm worried that I might gain weight with more muscle. So should I tone up or thin down? and does anybody else have this problem?

muscle weight is different than fat weight, the muscle pulls everything up and actually makes you slimmer. by gaining more muscle, you actually burn more calories per hour. dont go by your bathroom scale but by how you look in the mirror and how your pants fit, thats how you look better. so tone up, its healthier for your heart and body.

I dont have this problem (partly because im a size 10 at 5'6, so normally i would just say to stop complaining for being 118 lbs, but I understand how you dont like feeling bigger than your friends, having been there myself a few years ago. so good luck in toning up! its actually easier for you because your already at your healthy body weight and you will notice a difference in your body within 2 wks.)

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

you should tone up and gain some muscle. It'll make you look leaner, but you gain weight... muscle weight, which is better for you. Good luck, eat lots of protein and maybe do cardio 3 times a week and weight lifting 4 times a week for 30 minutes each to be on the safe side!

Fist of all, you are technically underweight, although not by much.
Toning muscle will help get rid of excess fat and give your body more definition. Muscle mass weighs more, but only because it is considerably more dense, so you won't get "wider".

I wear a size four-long jean, but sometimes I walk out of the house i feel like im really a size 543278547382905784032758430278.
Don't be so critical of yourself.

Or just get bigger friends.

You should only tone up. The only reason why you think you are bigger than most of kids your age, is because of your height. That's all. No need to lose any more weight, or you on the path for anorexia.

Tone up. The stronger you are, the longer you'll last, -in ALL things. :)
