Well I'd say that my life motto would be:
"You must do the thing you think you cannot do"
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

But I love good quotes, so here are some more...

No boy is worth crying over, and the one who is won't make you cry.

Discovery is looking at what everyone else sees and seeing what everyone else does not.

...envy is ignorance, imitation is suicide...
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

Dance as though no one is watching you,
Love as though you have never been hurt before,
Sing as though no one can hear you,
Live as though heaven is on earth.

You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.

It is better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
~Rami Belson

Hardwork pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
~Bill Cosby

You will look back on the times you laughed and you will cry. You will look back on the times you cried and you will laugh. You will always remember close friends and you will always keep memories of them in your heart.

There are tons of great ones out there.... you can even finds some good ones if you search around on yahoo answers....

Well, not quite a life motto but something my mother used to tell me that still sticks with me "If you don't ask, the answer is automatically no".

Also, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience."

And, "As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free". From the "Battle Hymn of the Republic".

I guess the closest thing to a life motto at this point in my life would be "It says in the scriptures 'and it came to pass'...it never says 'and it came to stay' ".

Here's a couple...

“The biggest questions in life are often time avoided… ‘What are you living for? What is your life worth? What have you spent it on? What is the meaning of life?’… The things that you think about at two in the morning when you can’t sleep, or I do at least. I think it’s sad that the God that’s often times presented in contemporary Christianity, is a God who is not big enough to answer these questions. So we don’t ask them because we’re afraid the whole thing isn’t going to stand up. But I’ve always been encouraging people to ask the biggest questions, because that’s when our roots are going deep into reality… and there is no question that is bigger than the God that I believe in.”

“I look at our planet and see a horrible, beautiful world… where love and hate breathe the same the air. This is where we wake up everyday; this is where we live. Maybe the kid in the song is me, hoping that I’m bent for more than arguments and failed attempts to fly. Something inside of me yearns for the beautiful, the true. I want more than what I’ve been sold; I want life.”

“I yearn to live and love and burn, and yet so much of my time is spent faking and forgetting, faking and forgetting... I carry out my disbelief with uninspired hands, my eyes shut, my emotions dulled, my spirit numb. In times like these I am in desperate need of truth to come to me like a blinding light, like a splinter in my soul, reminding me of the brevity of my time here on earth.”

I'm gonna mess this up but...

One must believe that when we step from the light of all we know into the darkness of the unknown, that one of two things will happen. We will find oursevles staanding on solid ground, or we will learn how to fly.

“To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are.”

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi

“Success is getting what you want; happiness- wanting what you get”

“Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.”

“Success is achieved by developing our strengths, not by eliminating our weaknesses”

“Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he should be, and he will become what he could be.”

I know I'm not perfect-and I don't live to be.
