This morning my cockapoo was just fine and I just got home and I noticed that she was shaking a bit so I let her outside and she was normal again. Then when she got back inside I wanted to check if she was okay so I went into my room and encouraged her to go on my bed but she didn't. Usually when I get home my dog hears me come home and today she didn't run up to the door. I tried petting her belly but when I touched her hind leg she barked at me. When I rub her back though, she stops shaking. She's not shaking now and she looks tired because she is laying down. I don't want to take her to the doctor just yet, I want to observe her for about two days and if something else happens, then I'll do. But I want to know what you think is wrong with her. She's eight years old if that helps...

And she's not running after her toys or doing her tricks or coming near me...

She's fine, she isn't whining or anything or crying, just normal but not running or jumping...and she doesn't "remember" her tricks...

She's not shaking like electric chair shaking, shivering about for 2 or 5 seconds.

This is all I do, if she housebreaks, I clean it, If she barks at people I say she's just upset, If she bites me I blame myself for bothering her, I never punish her, the closest thing to mean I did was touch her leg and have her bark.

Take your dog to the vet... Don't chance it. If you have an Animal ER take her there. Something is definitely wrong. Is there a chance she could have gotten into something while you weren't home. Chocolate? If you think it may have been chocolate was it dark chocolate or milk? Dark Chocolate is deadly in just a little bit of quantity. If you think she got into something it is a good idea to to add rice & chicken broth to her diet. Just plain white rice none of that flavored rice. What I would defentantly do is take her to the vet ASAP! Check for vomiting and diahareha those are the main signs for poision in a dog. I am sorry to hear about your dog and I hope everything turns out alright. Good Luck to you and I will pray for you puppy.

I would suggest going back outside for a bit to see if she does shake outside.. If not something my have fell and hit her while you were gone.. She may not be injured but it may have scared her.. Also I would double check to make sure she had not gotten shocked by anything.. Had this happen to my bully and he was really strange acting in the house but fine outside.. I had to locate the cord that had shocked him unplugged it and showed him it wouldnt hurt him again.. If she does the same outside as inside I would probably call and ask my vet.. Just to be on the safe side.

she might have hurt her leg (like jumped off the couch wrong or something else minor) which would make it harder for older dogs to jump up on to a bed. Out side the ground is a lot softer and easier to walk on then even carpet, which may be way she stop shaking outside. And when you touched her tender leg she barked to tell you it hurt.

my dog was doing the shivering and not wanting to play he caught a cold and his white blood sells got really high and his red blood sell got dangerously low and he would pee blood every now and then so I took him to the vet and she gave him some antibiotics and he is doing better now(he will be 12 yrs old.in April) maybe your pooch pulled a muscle in her leg that will make not want to do anything just keep a eye on her and if she gets worse take her to the vet.

get a vet check soon. but she may be up set with you about something. did you punish her to harshly. or did you throw her favorite toy away or wash it. did she fall off the bed and hurt her hind leg. that happens to small dogs a lot especially when they get older, their spring just got up and went.as my grand mom use to say. l think her leg is sore and it happen on the bed and she is blaming you.

Sounds like seizures. Call a vet ASAP for advice. Keep track of the duration - how long they last how frequently they happen. This is very important!

I wouldn't wait any longer. I would take her to the vet to get a good check up. If nothing is wrong, great. You have nothing to loose!
