Well now that you got the highs and lows for prices; the majority of cameras range from $200 to $450. Digital single lens reflex cameras could start as low as$600 and go up & up. No need for a name, your major brands have that price range in Nikon, Sony, Canon, Fugifilm and Olympus.

You can buy a crap low-res camera at the check-out stands at Wal-mart for $19.95 or you can buy a 2 1/4 film camera with a digital back for $20,000. The choice is yours.
