Yes, both my cats do it. But there are different types of kneeding. My male cat is very stupid and uses his claws often, makeing the kneeding a stabbing soon accompanied by shredding.

Funny, I never heard that term or muffins or ant of the others! We just say she is kneeding. Both my cats do it.

i dont call it any weird thing but dont you hate when they get those claws involved when they are kneeding oh so seriously and even slobber some times?...lol...only a cat!!

I dont call it that but all cats do it. They do it because that is what they do to their mother's stomach when they nurse on them. They do it to show comfort and closeness and usually purr. Meaning you should feel good about it because it means you are close with them.
