Why on earth do some people yell and scream and swear at customer service people when the customer service people can't do anything about the problem and are not responsible for it? For instance: a woman came to my desk and was angry about not being able to get in the front door of where I work. Well, it was 9:00 at night. After a certain time, the front and side doors automatically lock. The entrance by me is the only one unlocked. What did that lady expect, for us to deactivate our entire security system just for her convenience? Why are some customers so unreasonable?

because they can get away with it. the customer is always right thing is so 1990. i don't agree with it and i'm so beyond the point where i'll let people get away with being total *******. if people are treated the way they treat others maybe then they will be more polite and listen to what is being said instead of screaming over top of us super nice and helpful customer service workers. i'll bring down the system soon. i hate mean people. i've worked in customer service way too long i think

Ask your immediate supervisor to switch desks with you for a week. This should solve the problem of the doors being locked.

Some people are, but you have the job of dealing with that type of person, so hopefully you have the training to not take it personally, and it let the insults roll off your back. All types of people in the world, and in your job if you don't start stereotyping groups....then you are a saint.

By the time a customer makes it to customer service with their problem they are so frustrated they need to vent and do it on the person who is available.

Because sometimes we turn into horrid people when we are tired, harrassed, and just plain stressed. I've been guilty of being rude in stores and I'm so embarrassed later, thinking of they way I've behaved. On behalf of every rude person, may I offer my humble apologies for being such a dolt!

Because they know that they can step on you and all that'll happen is that the manager will come. They like to try to belittle you. They get pleasure from it.
