13 year olds on a whole shouldn't have to diet. They should just eat healthy balancing sweets and good foods and exercise. That said, we as adults should be able to do that too, but it doesn't always work, and have any of you looked at the school lunches lately? They stink - plus it's really hard to find foods that don't have a lot of additives, even so called "healthy" foods have MSG which can cause swelling and short term bloating/weight gain - if it's just to get healthy, then work out in moderation - like forgo the video games and ride a bike or dance to music, make it fun, and just do your best to keep healthy stuff around, if it's a serious problem - like actual clinical obesity, see your physician for blood work cause it could be anything from diabetes to food allergies to thyroid or hormone imbalance before you start an "official" diet.

No.. no diets for a 13 year old. Well, just no to food diet, she needs all the proteins and she is growing. Best way to lose weight is to eat alot, and burn calories by doing yoga. Although yoga takes time, it is the healthiest and most affective way to lose weight.

A thirteen year old child should not have to worry about their weight. They are going through an akward time in their life.

YOU as a PARENT should be providing HEALTHY foods for your children. YOU as a PARENT should be making sure portion sizes are appropriate and should be providing healthy snack alternatives.

Why do you need a plan for what you should be doing for your child anyway?

if your 13 and want to diet get out and walk and walk some more,and see a doctor and have him put you on a diet that works..and walk
