You can wear anything you want. Most women wear either their original wedding gown if they still can fit into it, or a dressy skirt/dress outfit.

Red may seem to be a little flashy unless you're Chinese. If you're not, your guests may not understand it's a Chinese wedding dress. Using a Chinese theme throughout the ceremony or on the tables (lanterns, flowers, chinese characters) may help promote the idea.
