I dont exactly know where to put this question because I dont know what HDMI is. Its in the PS3, the 360 might get it soon in a V. 2 360 with a HDMI port, and I have no idea what it is. At first I thought it was like HDx2 but now I think its involves audio and video. Whatever.

Actually it's High Definition MULTI-media Interface. Multi because it carries digital video, digital audio, and communications links between products.

HDMI = High Definition Media Interface. For plugging the PS3 into one of the new range of HD Ready TVs that have started coming out, so you get nice crisp graphics and movies (if you play a BluRay DVD)

HDMI is the best cable to connect the PS3 to your tv with. I have tried to use component cables to connect the PS3 to my tv; I experienced a purple shadow going across my screen with the component cables.
