I grew up in the '60s...high school & college. For some reason I can't seem to remember any hallucinations; or much of anything else.....

Severe depression and sleep deprivation had me sitting in my room one night with the lights off and only the tv on. Instead of having closet doors, I have a curtain hanging there. Well, this curtain is textures. On this particular night things were crawling all over my curtain and I was so scared that I couldn't even get up to turn the light on to check for quite a while. What a trip. When I turned the light on (eventually) I saw that my curtains were not moving, but as soon as the light went out I swore that they started to move again. Thank God I haven't been there for a while!

Well I had just popped an Ambien to get some sleep ok well 5 of them because of the very fact that they made me hallucinate. I was sitting at my computer and the screen started to get wavy and it got harder for me to send IM's. My guitar laying next to me turned into a person and started telling me what to type. Next I found myself in the bathroom looking in the shower thinking it was five feet deep even though i was putting my foot in. All along the shower was a row of Egyptian people all leaning in to see the depth of it. Next I randomly called some dude I didnt know very well and started to have phone sex but then I was fascinated by the people moving on my posters on the wall as they took on personalities. I have to say it was fun but ambien i try to stay away from.

once as a teen my friend and I stayed up for a day and a half experimenting with caffeine. The wind out side started to sound like whispering when we finally went to bed

I kept thinking I was running over half-invisable children one night. I hadn't slept for 2 days when that happened.

My elderly Mom kept having vivid "visions" as she called them.
One frequent one involved a Knight & a horse.
When I pressed her to admit them to her health care team, they immediately said it was a bladder infection---tested for it, and damned if they weren't RIGHT!!!!
TWICE this has happened!
LOL, I have done a ton of drugs, and never a "vision" to be found.....

as i was writing my essay answer, there were ants crawling all over me and my paper, over my drink bottle and up my arm. for 2 hours i sat there attempting to think of my answer, write it down and not panic that i had ants crawling over me......
later i found out that the desks had been stored outside and the ants had made a nest in my desk and when i sat down i must have disturbed them... but my god did i s*&t myself.....
