Almost got to the bottom and didn't think anyone was going to get this right but one person did. I'm going to answer myself though because I did know the answers...

1. Stephen Harper:(
2. Ottawa, Ontario
3. I'm assuming you mean after English...French
4. 13 (10 Provinces and 3 Territories)
5. The most popular coffee/donut chain in Canada
6. Winter - Hockey, Summer - Lacrosse (It used to just be Lacrosse until 1994 when the National Sports of Canada Act was changed to include Hockey, rightfully so since the first noted hockey game was play in Nova Scotia, Canada).

So, there, some Canadians do actually know a little bit about their country!

I am Canadian - why is this important and also why post on the Canadian question site - you would likely get more American responses on Yahoo.com

But more significantly - what is the national sport? Is it lacrosse? We think it is hockey - maybe rightfully :) but I am sure it is not.

As for who the prime minister is - insignificant as he needed to give a happy new year reminder on the news just to remind us who he in fact was. I don't feel like these questions matter enough to me as a Canadian so I am not sure how they would matter to an American.
