I love eating horse, but especially horse head.
Horse head stew, horse head tartar, etc.

I believe horse slaughter is a necessary evil. The worst thing that we did was to ban it in the U.S. At least we could have monitored it, and fixed the things that needed to be fixed. Now, all we did was to make these horses travel three times as far. In Canada and Mexico they don't have the regulations that we had in the U.S. Look at some videos on how they kill them in Mexico. Horrible!. Don't get me wrong there was a lot to be fixed in the U.S. plants. If they would have thought with there heads instead of there hearts there would be a lot less horses suffering. Horse slaughter will never stop all we can do is make it easier for the horses, which we cant do when they are going to Canada and Mexico. I live down the road from a man who ships horses to Canada, there are more semis going out of there now more then ever. I also believe that the blame is often put on the wrong people. It's not the "killer" buyers fault that we meaning, the U.S are breeding all these horses and not taking propper care of the ones we already have. THousands of horses are being shipped a week, were are they coming from?

Are you joking or is this one of those cultural things I don't know about? I saw a pig head once in the Mexican market and that surprised me :-)
