From what I know there were several writings that people around the Arab empire had containing the Qur'an then in the Umayyad period, the Calif wanted the writings to be included in one book so they got all the writings and put them in what is now the qur'an and burned or destroyed all other writings that did not make it.
Hmmm..this historical explanation kind of takes all the fun and miracles out of it.
By the way, I am sick of Muslims saying "you will go to hell" all the time, they are being disrespectful to Gd by trying to do His job Shame on people who judge their brothers and sisters.

from the day mohammed have been given Quran till at last now there the place a great number of folk who memorized Quran and wrote it down. so no one ever had this opportunity to alter it. The Quran and the Bible are books that teaches goodness. It is not important whether the book is corrupted or not or whether it is original or not. Both books have stories that sounds frictional. Read them with an open mind and enjoy the teachings. learn and take with you the moral of the story and do not question their powers. Whether there is a flying donkey or the sea open for people to cross over is really not important. But to know that God help these people and evil is distroyed by God himself is really an important factor.

Oooooooookay. There is an original Quran, but Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) didn't write it. Allah used Angel Gabriel to recite verses to Muhammed (peace be upon him) in a cave named Ghar herraa' and he memorized the verses and shared them with his companions (god bless them.) After Muhammad (peace be upon him) died, two of his companions, Uthman bin Affan and another whose name I can't recall ( god bless them) , combined the original Quran which now can be found in Istanbul in Turkey (I suppose) and now after approximatley 1,430 years, not one letter was changed in the Quran and hundreds of thousands of muslims all over the globe can recite the Holy Quran by heart (the Quran is usually 604 pages long). Some of those people are as young as 6 years old. The Quran was sent to Muhammed (peace be upon him) as bits and pieces over a long period of time. And that animal wasn't a flying donkey, it was a creature called a Burak. The Quran wasn't even revealed to Muhammed (peace be upon him) when he went to see Allah. Muhammed (peace be upon him) is the only person who has caught a glimpse of Allah the almighty.
P.S. This information is brought to you by a 12 year old, therefore some of this information isn't accurate considering I live in Canada and don't know very much in this area of Muslim heritage.
P.P.S. if the Bible is not corrupted like jonesteel above said, why are there like a million versions of the Bible?? Try to answer that.

If there really is a Quran from heaven, where IS it kept? And would it be tested scientifically for authenticity?

The Bible is not corrupted.....the Dead Sea Scrolls proof that it is intact to time endifinite........The Quran is finished by Termites...and no one knows if where is the original...Quran is a Myth produced by Moonworshippers........its not a history.....comparable to the myth of Greek and Roman....
