Anyone know of anything that I can do to make my hair grow faster? I really want to grow it long for my prom this yearrr!!

Do these really work or are they myths -- ((to make hair grow))

Wash your hair with hot water & then before you get out of the shower put the cold water on really suddenly

& massaging your scalp 5 minutes a day.

What else of these types of things can i do? I looked for hair growth shampoos but i had no luck =(

Yes, contrast shower will help your hair grow and the reason for it is the shock for your body that boosts your immune system.
It will be good not just for you hair but for your entire body. :) I remember you mantioned that you have a sauna. I usually get into sauna for about 20 minutes (don't forget to wrap your head in the towel to keep it cool) than jump in the very cold pool for several seconds or hop in the cold shower to create a shock.

I never get sick, it helps to clear up your skin if you have problems, also it trains your blood vessels to be flexible and you garantee don't have wrinkles for a long time. :) Than I wrap in the towel and rest, drink warm decaf herb tea to keep sweating and go to sauna for another 20 min. :) Remember about honey scrub? Second session is a time to use it. :)
After that a rinse off shower, finish with cold water and you are a brand new person again. LOL

Oh, VERY IMPORTANT drink plenty of water. H2O is the key to humans health since our bodies are almost 65% water.

Massaging your scalp will help as well. My ex was loosing his hair and I made him massage his scalp every night for half an hour while watching TV and you know what, it stopped hair loss!

In your case I would say start from inside. I don't know if you take any vitamines and minerals but I would recommend you to get a bottle of Centrum Performance. Sometimes hair doesn't grow because your body lacks of certain microelements or vitamins.
Try to eat realtively healthy food (if you need any help email me).

Femails can start to loose hair because of the lack of iron since we have period every month a loose a lot iron with blood.
DO NOT take any iron supplements. It can lead to a liver problems since it designed to treat medical conditions. Centrum have a daily value of every microelement that you need.

Exercise every day. It will speed up your metabolism and, of course, will help with your hair growth.

Now shampoo and conditioner. You didn't mantioned what type of hair you have and if it's natural or color treated.
If you will post some more details I will write you recommendations for it. :)

I hope this will help. Take care. :)

I went to Cosmetology School and have my license. Massaging your scalp will help with circulation of the scalp and will, for some, help their hair grow a little faster. Hair on the average grows 1/16 inch a month. The best thing to do is keep your hair trimmed on a regular basis, so that the dead ends are under control. If you don't, your hair will begin to break at the ends. I'm sure you have seen before someone with hair that is very dry and brittle at the ends of their hair. This is because the hair is dead from split ends and it will no longer grow healthy until they get their hair cut above where the dead part is and start from there.

Wash your hair with hot water & then before you get out of the shower put the cold water on really suddenly - (This only works with the shine, not growth).

I think the massaging of the scalp could work, because your improving blood circulation.

Other than that just regular cuts and time.

There are a few hair vitamins, however you get the same vitamins in a one a day vitamin. Off brands work the same and can be purchased at any type of dollar store for about $3 this is usually a 2 month supply. Massageing you scalp helps to promote blood circulation , No study actually can prove this helps. If you color your hair, it breaks off so you won`t notice any tremendous growth. I colored my hair many years and it too about 16yrs to get to my waist!!! I cit my hair in a blunt cut at almost chin lenght last May! I donated 16 inches to Locks of Love, and since May, my hair has grown about 9 inches!!!! I do not color my hair and I am never going to again! It is very healthy, thick and shiny now!!! I also change shampoo and rotate with each shampoo between, Suave, White Rain, and VO5 , and cheap baby shampoo!I seldom even have to put conditioner! Also, using a bristle brush will also damage your hair severly! Use a vented brush instead! In a nutshell.. High priced hair stuff is all that it is... HIGH PRICED!

I find the coconut oil best hair oil for hair growth and strong hairs. Massage coconut oil twice or thrice in a week. Also, a hair oil with some other combination like hibiscus gives more benefits to the hairs. There are many hair oil available in market but my personal suggestion would be to try natural oils like Dabur Coconut Oil with Hibscus as I am using it since few years.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aL9pX While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

the water thing wont work, massaging your scalp can help stimulate blood flow in your scalp which can contribute to hair growth. Try taking vitamins for hair, skin, and nails. Also I have heard that Gelatin, straight gelatin... not like jello. I heard that if you mix gelating equal parts with water and drink it, it has vitamins in it to help hair grow.
