Dying my hair red?

Question

My hair is naturally a sandy blonde color, but over the years it turned into a mousy brown color. I've dyed it dark brown, but I've been wanting to dye it a red/dark brown mixture. My eyes are green, and I have a naturally tan skin color (Think Italian women, like this..http://www.crociereonline.net/images/cucinotta.jpg)

Would a dark reddish brown color look okay with my skin color and eye color? Also I have a naturally reddish tint to my hair

The link didn't work for me, but you did a great job explaining what you look like.

With such a dramatic color change, I would suggest you go to a professional colorist who can look at the undertones in your hair, your eyes and the texture of your hair to determine the color. I think a red color could look great with your tan skin and eyes, but you have to be careful that you don't clash with the undertones in your skin.

Also, remember that if you go dramatic with color, there will be a lot of upkeep. So make sure you get your roots touched up monthly.

jo_french the only way to find out is to try it. If you don't like it...it's hair and you can always change it back. Lifes short, live it.
