Why would an alarm clock make someone dizzy?

In the morning, when they wake up before the alarm goes off, then hear it, and they get dizzy for a split second.

Whats wrong with them?

could be a inner ear problem

that happens to me sometimes when i´m in a deep sleep and the alarm startles me. I don´t think it´s anything serious, though.

either a migrane, headache or very light sleeper.
