Have you ever gone through a vortex/spiritual portal/dokodemodoor?

Where did you find it, where did you go, and was it fun?

I have only heard about the vortex up in Oregon state...unfortunately I haven't been there but it sounds really fun, it's definitely in my to-do list.
If there are any in California, I'd like to know.
