In the Quran, Prophet Lut (pbuh) was never cruel towards homosexuals, in fact all he did was warn them and advice them. In other words, Muslims should not be cruel to them. At the same time, homosexuality is a sin in Islam and the punishment is the same as the punishment for fornication and adultery - death penalty (provided that there are 4 witnesses). Yes, these are severe punishments but it is all to protect the family structure of society. The way family life is lead is the basis for all societies. So if a family falls apart, what will happen to society's moral values and social stability?

I get the idea that we treat gays differently? Well some muslims do, but I certainly don't and I don't know any muslims who do. I'm sorry, but if you feel like that the reason might be that gay and lesbian affairs are forbidden in our religion. Actually, its a big sin and you could get hanged for it. But hey, I gotta respect other opinions and viewpoints.

Since your obviously unhappy being christian, convert.
PLEASE Islam IS RIPE with gay acts. It takes 4-6 witnesses to a gay act to kill someone. Your not going to get that many unless its a set up. Most people do lock their doors when their taking it in the back you know, knowing about death punishment and all.

I don't know if you have noticed,but as far I can tell ,you don't even have to be gay to get killed.I would probably be 100% right by saying your a dead man should you decide to cross over.
of course all in the name of Allah the "MERCIFUL"?
I just could never figure out with all that blood shed where that mercy went!

homosexuality is a sin in Islam. no but,however and ands.its one of the greatest sins in Islam. and we believe the gays shouldn't have an rights.

Some Muslim Countries don't care about it......but in Iran it is stricly prohibited....if you caught then they will hang you...
