Its amazing the stuff puppies will poop. Chances are he ate it about a week ago. Depending on the toys you give him you will see all sorts of colors in his poo. You shouldn't worry unless he has symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. I am an experienced mom and a 2 year old (in Feb) pup. I have been through tons of stuff with my little guy. It usually takes 24hrs to 7 days to pass something. As long as he is still playful and not lethargic he is more than fine. If you still have any concerns just call your local vet and just ask them. They will tell you more of what to look for. But I can almost guarantee he is fine. Congratulations, and good luck with your new puppy!!!!

First of all, are you sure it's yarn? Not meaning to be gross, but if the yarn is white in color, and looks more like string, then you can probably bet it's worms. Either way, I would say a vet check is in order and watch him and his "poos" very closely. Puppies are like babies, they can get into the darndest things and everything goes in their mouths. I would keep him put up especially at night to keep him from roaming. You also might want to check with the person you got him from just to see if he laid on some type of yarn blanket he could have chewed on. Hope everything comes out alright...he he

He probably found some yarn around your house, since he probably didn't recieve yarn to eat at the shelter or at his previous house. You need to be sure to puppyproof your house. Also, don't worry about the yarn, since he already pooped it out, that means his system already got rid of the yarn, and if there is any more yarn, it will be able to poop it out some more, so you have nothing to worry about.

Been in his system at least 4 hours, but probably longer than not. Puppies have very short intestines, compared to us, and it doesn't take long to "go through". However, if the yarn is long, got tangled or tied in his intestines, it could have been hours longer, or even days. Get him to the vet and have him x-rayed, to see if there is more, or other objects. Blocked intestines could kill him in a very painful way and you don't want that.

He probably ate it before you got him. you should take him to the vet to make sure that there isn't more of it tangled around his organs. It should be ok but you do need to get him to the vet. However, if it has been in his system since before you got him, you could talk to the breeder and insist that he or she pays the vet bills, because if there is more tangled up in there, it will be expensive. If he or she refuses to cooperate, you can take up a lawa suit. It may sound drastic, but do you want to pay a couple thousand dollars for what someone else did to your dog? Good luck I hope everything turns out ok.

domestic canines are merely like toddlers. they have their very own time table each and every so often. yet, maybe your domestic dog is constipated? have you ever replaced her eating ordinary presently? once you're doing each and every thing you have been doing previously and impulsively there is this alteration. maybe take her to the vet just to make useful each and every thing is working best and that she's ok. in any different case, i might merely chalk it as much as her merely being a domestic dog. If I positioned my 8 month old domestic dog in his crate too early at night, he will additionally whine in the wee hours of the morning to pass. So, i attempt to maintain him up as previous due as a hazard, and make him go out then. he's been particularly good at nights! good success to you!

It depends. Good estimate about 24 hours to 36 hours. But be careful, that might be the ends of a sweater coming out.

the yarn was probably ingested the day before.... if he eats and poops regularly, it hadn't been there long...... don't panic.... they sometimes eat hair, string and yes, even yarn (HA!) but this too shall pass.

Be Blessed!

I agree with dawn, make sure its not worms. Puppies have this, their sides tend to buldge or look fat when the rest is skinny. Have it checked. It needs a check up anyway.
