this has been done in the past to keep good traits in a certain line its called inline breeding, it is best left to the experts though as if a dog has been previously in bred from a previously inbred etc then you could also be keeping the bad traits inline also if it happens to often in a line it can cause freak litters/ deformities and disabilities in the pups, even if they develope fine in the first 8 weeks with the breeder their inbred traits may come out later, and as most pedigree papers only go back 4/5 generations you cant really tell if the 6th or beyond was inbred, i dont know if you understood any of what i said there its difficult to make it sound right but thats what it is anyway

its not illegal but a very silly thing to do as you will be courting disaster as you are doubling up on the genes and could end up with spinabifida or temperment problems health problems it is better to go outside the family to breed so the bad genes will not be doubled up....you should check pedigrees and ask about the health problems the other dog may have and make sure yours doesnt carry the same problems....

Dog incest is not a crime, merely an idiocy.

Linebreeding, which is breeding dogs that share common ancestors but not that close, is a good tool in the hands of a knowledgable breeder, but I don't know of any that do brother to sister breedings. That's just plain stupid.

I dont think its illegal but it's not a good idea inbreeding would probably cause health problems in the pups..

it isnt illegal but it will cause alot of problems with the puppies they may come out deformed that is if they get that far because the mother has a higher chance of misscarage and if the puppies are born and they are deformed th mother could kill them

you should NOT breed a brother and sister. It can cause MAJOR problems in the puppies.

It's not illegal here, but it is not a very good practice. It is inbreeding and can cause the pups serious health problems.
