Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Even the purest of heart spams once in awhile, right?

Seriously, this is just a big "Way to go!" for all you atheists on Yahoo Answers. I know it's not easy being witty, clever, AND polite in the face of a hundred Pascal's Wagers a day, but you somehow manage to do it and I love you all for it.

Keep up the good work and don't let the hellfire-and-brimstoners get you down. ;)

I took a big breath and got ready to answer with "why don't you believe in Zeus? I suspect it's like that..." and then I noticed who was posting it! :)

I am a Christian. I want you to believe that. I have been a Christian for over 20 years. Your question would indicate that you haven't been a Christian for very long. Let me show you why:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

This is a typical text, often used, truly stated, and loved with good reason by many. It's the main theme of many to express the direction any who wills must go.

But Jesus said something to draw a line betwwen things, which is whgat God does throughout the Bible.

Jesus said;
John 6:44
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

and also it was written:
Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
And then there is the Parable of the Sower, 1 Corinthians 1:20 -25; Romans 1:24, 28.

So they that do not have the Spirit of God urging them to Him, are dead. they have no life to claim except for the one they now have.

Sure, some of you atheits are polite, like Nicolas and metazone, and Kazoo, but what about the obnoxious ones like Julia and Jibba Jabba? Are you giving them a "way to go too?"
I guess you can if you want, free country after all. But just checking.

Im sorry, I really don't get your POV. First you are asking why atheists don't believe, and then you are prasing them for it? Your question is bipolar and confusing, but anyone saying way to go to people who don't have anything to look forward to has something wrong with them. I'm taking it you don't belive in God. Because if you did, you would not be saying keep up the good work to this kind of behavior.

I'm agnostic....ex-Christian & argue with them all the time, which is why I wanted to answer you. I have read the Bible & can back up my answers with "facts" they should understand.

Why can't you just believe in Zeus? (No, I'm not being flippant). Answer that for yourself and you'll know.
