Because it is crap. I want my children to have some actual taste. My 6 yr. old loves Johnny Cash. Now that is taste. All that "teen" music is mass produced crap that anyone could do. There is no real talent involved. Those who listen to it are slaves to smooth marketing. Get a brain.

It is waaay way too sexualized. I want my children to be as innocent as I can keep them. I'm even really disturbed by some of the things I hear on the radio. It does not teach children anything good.

Because my son will not learn to like music simply because the record companies tell him to like it by playing the same few songs over and over and over and over.
I also feel that through my step dad's influence I gained a greater musical appreciation by listening to older music.

everything . everything is wrong with it I have a 8yr old and I won't let her listen to that crap , when they get older and understand that it's not something to do but just words then we'll talk till then nope.
